This contribution evaluates the creep and relaxation behavior of an ETFE film product using monoaxial long-term laboratory tests. Samples of the ETFE film product (also used in the AWM project in Munich) were installed in a long-term test rig in 2010. They were permanently loaded with constant weights at various uniaxial stress levels (6, 9, and 12 MPa). The strain of the samples was measured longer than one decade. After more than 100,000 hours, the loads were removed, and the samples were disassembled. The subsequent recovery was measured until the residual strains no longer decreased. The evaluation allows a time- and load-dependent assessment of the film's long-term stress-strain behavior under continuous loading.
